Raising 4 Teens With Donna

Hello I am Donna also known as Miss Mixalot and I am raising 4 teenagers, 1 boy (who is the oldest) and 3 girls (a set of twins included). I am constantly asked "How do you do it without losing your mind" so I decided to blog about some very intriguing areas of our lives and some of our daily routine. The one thing I constantly tell people about our household is that everybody is held accountable for their actions regardless of how good, bad, or indifferent. As a mother, I hold my children to realistic standards but I also deliver realistic consequences when they do not so favorable things. Throughout our blog I will allow them a chance to express their feelings as well. Parenting doesn't come with a manual and it can get overwhelming, expensive, critical, and be rewarding all at the same time. I am here to answer any questions or give any advice.

Just a little background about myself. I was born, raised, educated, baptized, and still reside on the Westside of Atlanta, Georgia. I have seen a lot but parenthood is still the scariest hood in the world.lol It teaches you to be faithful, fearless, and face life's shenanigans head on. I don't sweat the small stuff and I try to make my children feel comfortable asking or telling me any and everything. They know I will tell them the truth from a place of LOVE. Even on the not so good days, I find joy within myself and the family I created.
